NINE residents have died in a care home in Clydebank with suspected coronavirus, as another 16 display symptoms.
As reported by The National's sister paper the Glasgow Times, all of the deaths occurred since the start of April at Hill View nursing home.
Those with symptoms are being "barrier nursed" by staff at the home, which houses 127 people.
In addition to the sixteen displaying symptoms of Covid-19, one more resident has tested positive.
Operators Advinia said the deaths all occurred in the home.

A Hill View spokesman said: "Every death is a great loss and our most heartfelt condolences go to each resident's family and friends - they are all in our thoughts and prayers at this sad time.
"Regrettably, like many care homes across the country, we are now seeing an increase in cases of Covid-19 as the virus reaches its peak."
Scotland is in lockdown. Shops are closing and newspaper sales are falling fast. It’s no exaggeration to say that the future of The National is at stake. Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
