A LIST of questions for Matt Hancock to be asked at an upcoming parliamentary coronavirus briefing has been leaked to all MPs.
PoliticsHome editor Kevin Schofield obtained a copy of the email sent by Hancock's parliamentary aide Steve Double.
Oh dear. Looks like Matt Hancock’s parliamentary aide Steve Double has sent a list of helpful questions to ask his boss in the Commons on 5 May to all MPs by mistake. pic.twitter.com/PaLuyc5a7s

It contained the following questions to ask the Health Secretary at the meeting on May 5:
- What steps his department is taking to support the development of a vaccine for Covid-19?
- What progress his department has made on ensuring adequate critical care capacity in hospitals throughout the Covid-19 outbreak?
- What progress his department has made on ensuring all NHS and care staff who need a test for Covid-19 are able to access one?
- What progress his department has been made on increasing staffing levels within the NHS in response to the Covid-19 outbreak?
- What steps his department is taking to support the mental health of NHS workers through the Covid-19 outbreak?
- What steps his department is taking to ensure NHS providers have the financial support they need through the Covid-19 outbreak?
New Statesman columnist described the leak as a "public service blunder" that "gives us a glimpse into the propaganda drive".
Ooops. Public service blunder by Matt Hancock’s bag carrier, Steve Double, when patsy questions the Health Secretary wants asked in Parlaiment are email to all MPs instead of only Tories. Embarrassing and gives us a glimpse into the propaganda drive pic.twitter.com/YPTX5mLDVq

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
