NO coronavirus deaths have been recorded in Scotland in the past 24 hours, it has been confirmed.
It means the total number of people to have died after testing positive remains 2491.
A further 17 people have contracted the virus, according to the latest figures.
Of those who have tested positive, 4140 inpatients have been discharged from hospital since March 5.
Some 316 people were in hospital last night with confirmed Covid-19 – three of whom were in intensive care, plus six more in intensive care with suspected Covid-19.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon thanked everyone across the country for their efforts to suppress the virus.
She commented: “Another day yesterday with no deaths registered of people with confirmed #COVID “Our collective sacrifices have helped get this virus under control. Please keep it up. Let’s not drop our guard now. Remember FACTS #StaySafe”
