THE day is almost here – Scotland's men's team are set to kick-off in a major international football competition for the first time in... too long.
We're excited. We know many of our readers are, too. So, we decided to have a think about what we could do to mark the occasion.
In your Sunday National this week, inside, you'll find a giant broadsheet pull-out poster that'll look perfect in your window, rallying the Scotland side on.
But we didn't want one side to go to waste – meaning we're giving you two options!
On one side, captain Andy Robertson is the star with a message we'll all be repeating.
And on the other side, we’ve got a Greg Moodie cartoon special.
Jackie Baillie, Douglas Ross and a host of other cameos all feature – with plenty of treats to find if you look close enough.
Don't miss out! Make sure you pick up your copy of the Sunday National tomorrow for your double poster special and, of course, all the fantastic journalism we've got inside.
Keep an eye out on social media for our front pages.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
