MORE than 3000 people have contracted Covid-19 in Scotland in the past 24 hours, new figures show.
There were no further deaths among people who tested positive in the previous 28 days, meaning the total remains 8070.
There were 27,296 new tests for Covid-19 that reported results, of which 3189 (12.4%) were positive.
It's the fifth day in a row that more than 3000 cases were registered.
Some 356 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed Covid.
Of those, 41 were in intensive care.
A total of 4,082,698 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 3,572,042 have received their second dose.
