Scotland records more than 1700 new Covid cases in 24 hours
MORE than 1700 new Covid-19 cases have been recorded in Scotland, the latest daily figures show.
No further deaths were registered among people who tested positive in the previous 28 days, meaning the total under this measure remains 8666. However, registration offices are usually closed at weekends.
A total of 1760 new cases were reported, with a positivity rate of 9.4%.
Some 1001 people were in hospital with recently confirmed Covid, up by 36 in 24 hours.
Of those, 67 were in intensive care, down by four.
A total of 4,217,940 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 3,847,118 have received their second dose.
