Scotland records 26 Covid deaths and more than 2000 new cases
ANOTHER 26 people have died in Scotland after contracting Covid-19, the latest daily figures reveal.
A further 2010 cases were also recorded in the past 24 hours, with a positivity rate of 13.5% – up from 10.8% the day before.
The deaths, among people who tested positive in the previous 28 days, bring the total under that measure to 9189.
A total of 932 people were in hospital with recently confirmed Covid, up one in 24 hours, with 63 patients in intensive care, down five.
So far, 4,320,370 people have received their first dose of a Covid vaccination and 3,910,253 have had a second.
