A SCOTTISH home delivery cocktail service is celebrating its two-year anniversary after delivering more than 100,000 drinks to homes across the UK during the coronavirus pandemic.
Inverness-based business MYXD was founded in 2020 in the midst of the UK’s first national lockdown by award-winning mixologist Grant Murray, catering to the thousands of people who “discovered they actually preferred enjoying a relaxed drink at home” to a night out at the pub.
With “over 100 different cocktails” to choose from, customers have a variety of options available to them, from pre-made collections of “bar-quality” cocktails to their own personalised selection from a core range, alongside a number of seasonal specials.
Murray said: “The past two years have been a rollercoaster to say the least, but it’s been a fantastic ride to be on. The support for MYXD right from the early days has been incredible, and I can’t believe how far we’ve come in such a short time.
“From hand delivering cocktails to the local area to now dispatching across the whole of the UK, we’ve grown at an incredible rate – but we’ve never compromised on the quality of our product. Over the years we have served up over 100 different cocktails, each showcasing amazing spirits and mixers in unique combinations.
“Since MYXD began in 2020, drinking habits have changed. During the pandemic, people began to appreciate the simple pleasures in life – and many discovered they actually preferred enjoying a relaxed drink at home rather than heading out to a crowded bar.
“While some have returned to the bustle of the bar since restrictions have lifted, many have kept up the habit.
“After all, what’s more luxurious than a delicious bar-quality cocktail that you can enjoy in the comfort of your pyjamas?”
MYXD is part of the Cru Holdings stable, which also operates seven bars and restaurants in the Scottish Highlands.
The company is currently offering a 10% discount to all customers to commemorate two years in business, with the deal running from today until Sunday.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
