WEDNESDAY will mark one of the most notorious days in the Scottish political calendar: GERS.
The Government Expenditure and Revenue Scotland report is due to be published at 9:30am on August 24, and The National will be on hand to bring you all the breaking news from across the country.
One of our top political team will be at a press event with Deputy First Minister John Swinney as he fields questions on the data, and others will be poring through the pages to bring you the key facts.
But we want to know what about the GERS report interests you. What questions do you have about the “deficit” it will show Westminster has run up on Scotland’s behalf? Do you have concerns about how the data is collected or analysed?

We will have one of the UK’s top tax and economics experts, Professor Richard Murphy, on hand to answer any and all the questions you have – so please don’t be shy about leaving them in the comments below.
Murphy, one of the co-authors of the globally influential Green New Deal, will be live with us at 11:30am to answer your questions on GERS and Scotland’s economy.
You’ll be able to tune in across The National's social media, whether that’s Facebook, Twitter or Youtube, to learn what he has to say about the figures.
Laura Webster, our news and features editor, said: "Having an expert like Richard Murphy on board as we unravel the latest GERS figures is fantastic for the paper.
"Every year all of our readers have so many questions about GERS – like how does it work, and what do these numbers really tell us – so what better than giving you an opportunity to put those questions to Professor Murphy live.
"Subscribers will have an early opportunity to put their questions forward and ensure we are able to get to them, while people watching live on Twitter, FB and YouTube are welcome to join in too.
"For those who can't tune in at 11.30, don't worry – there'll be an article featuring all the key points shortly afterwards. Plus the video will be viewable right after it is broadcast.
"We love having Richard on board as a regular contributor who can dispel common myths about Scotland's economic situation really effectively.
"If you enjoy this kind of content, please do consider supporting Scotland's only pro-independence daily newspaper here thenational.scot/subscribe."

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
