SCOTTISH comedian Limmy has poked fun at James Corden following the Gavin And Stacey star’s ban from a New York City restaurant.
Keith McNally, the owner of one of the city’s most popular eateries announced he was banning Corden from his restaurant Balthazar after proving himself to be “the most abusive customer” since it opened two decades ago.
Corden ate at the restaurant on October 9 and when the kitchen made a mistake with a dish, McNally alleges he began to yell at the waiter, saying: “You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!”
Responding to the news on Twitter, Limmy, who has taken aim at Corden several times over the years, joked: “I can no longer support James Corden.”
I think it's important while criticising James Corden that we do not lose our humanity also.

Another tweet read: “I think it’s important while criticising James Corden that we do not lose our humanity also” whilst another showed a clip of the TV show presenter singing in a car with the caption “I WANT HIM OUT!”.
In a separate post, McNally also pointed to a previous incident in June 2022, when Corden found a hair in his food.
After the dish was made, he allegedly told servers: “Get us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all our drinks so far. This way, I [don’t] write any nasty reviews [on] yelp or anything like that.”
Hours after the initial post, McNally said he had received a call from Corden in which he apologised for his behaviour.

He wrote: “James Corden just called me and apologized profusely. Having f***** up myself more than most people, I strongly believe in second chances.
“So if James Corden lets me host his Late Late Show for 9 months, I’ll immediately rescind his ban from Balthazar.
“No, of course not. But […] anyone magnanimous enough to apologize to a deadbeat layabout like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned from anywhere.
“Especially Balthazar. So Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Corden, Jimmy Corden. All is Forgiven. xx”
I don't believe it.

Another post on Limmy’s twitter showed a GIF of the TV show host dancing with the caption: “I don’t believe it. Won’t believe it.”
In April, Corden announced he was stepping down as the host of The Late Late Show in the US.
He is said to have extended his contract with CBS to present the show for one more year before finishing in the summer of 2023.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
