THE clock is ticking - our two month free trial ends TOMORROW at midnight!
Scotland needs the movement to stay reliably informed and motivated through the next year of campaigning.
Our two month's for free offer will only be available until Tuesday at 12am.
Recent events have hammered home how important Scotland's independence is – and in a year that's set to be packed with major events, we want to give more people the chance to sample The National's must-read coverage.
You can read our daily digital edition, a digital replica of the newspaper, including the Sunday National, as well enjoy your subscription on your phone by downloading our ad-free app!

This coming year will show our team at our best. If you want fast-paced, breaking news coverage, as well as reporting that shines a light on grassroots movements at a pivotal moment in the journey to indyref2, we're hoping we can show you our worth.
One of our projects will be our new podcast, Holyrood Weekly. The first episode is live now, so be sure to give it a listen, share it with friends and above all – enjoy!
Each week we’ll speak to MSPs about the biggest issue in Holyrood and Scottish politics, and of course, the independence debate.
With projects like these, we will continue to boost the case for Scotland, for Yes and support the independence movement wherever we can. Your support will help us do that.
Also, in your two-month free trial, you will gain access to all our exclusive content, from interviews with politicians and comment pieces from leading independence figures to deep dives into the Yes movement and analysis on how the future could look like as Scotland heads for independence.
Plus, you'll also get a wide range of puzzle offerings!
With a subscription to The National, we will keep you informed on the big events at home and abroad. We will continue to boost the case for Yes and support the independence movement wherever we can. Your support will help us do that.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
