ACTIVISTS are invited to join All Under One Banner (AUOB) to campaign one week ahead of the march in Stirling.
The group are hosting a march to Bannockburn and rally at the historic site on Saturday, June 24.
To ensure the march has local publicity, AUOB are campaigning in Stirling on the Saturday beforehand, June 17.
Activists will be handing out flyers to the public and getting posters up, in and around the city.
Anyone is invited to join the group at Murray Place at 1pm for a few hours.
This will be the second AUOB demonstration this year, the first being held in Glasgow.
Gordon McCrae, head steward for the march, has also put a call out for anyone wishing to volunteer as a steward.
He said: "We are looking for people attending the Stirling march to assist us with the stewarding for the event. It's important that the demonstration is well organised and peaceful, and volunteer stewards will play a key role in ensuring this, with tasks which include: assisting with organising the procession, helping keep the procession together, and helping maintain the safety of participants.
"We very much welcome and appreciate those who volunteer to help steward. Being a steward will not interfere with your enjoyment of the demonstration, as stewards can walk alongside family and friends on the day.
"If you wish to volunteer, or find out further information about this straightforward role, then come and speak with us this Saturday June 17 at Stirling, when we will be handing out flyers to the public. We look forward to meeting you."
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
