Part one is our special pull-out available on Saturday, July 1 (if you missed it, available online here!). We hope independence supporters can use it on their stalls, door-to-door, with family, friends and colleagues, and other Yes groups to assist in the campaign.

One reader commented on why they have recommend our paper.
They said: "I have just recommended The National to an independence supporter, who needs the information in The National to offset the unfair, disingenuous and just plain wrong information in most of the mainistream media, including most of the Scottish mainstream media."
It's as simple as that.

A year from now, activists will hopefully have a clear strategy from the SNP ahead of the General Election as the leading pro-independence party, polls will be clearer for the Tories, Labour and SNP, we will also possibly have a General Election date but will it be fought by Rishi Sunak ... ?
No one could have predicted the last year, and we can't predict the next - but we can pledge to be at the front of all the news affecting Scotland and her route to independence.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
