THE coastguard are among emergency services in attendance at a Highlands beauty spot amid reports of a woman near cliffs in Thurso.
Services attended the incident after receiving reports of concern for a woman near cliffs at the Victoria Walk area. Coastguard officials have also said they received reports that "a person had gone over the cliff".
Police, an RNLI lifeboat and coastal rescue teams -including helicopters - are currently in attendance.
The organisations were called to the scene around 6:15am on Friday morning.
A HM Coastguard spokesperson said: “We received a police request at 6.20am this morning after reports that a person had gone over the cliff. This is a police incident.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.15am on Friday, March 29, 2024, police received a report of concern for a woman at the cliffs in the Victoria Walk area of Thurso.
“Emergency services remain at the scene.”
