A NEW TV. A £200 Tesco gift card. A BBQ. A Google Home Mini.

Answer just one question and you’ll be in with a shot of netting this fantastic prize pack worth more than £600 – and which also includes Scotland bunting.
No Scotland, no party! And you’ll have everything you need to kick the competition off in style by hosting one of your own.
To enter, all you have to do is answer the following question:
Which country is hosting the Uefa Euro 2024 tournament?
Please email your answer, along with your name, address and phone number to competitions@thenational.scot
The National’s editor Laura Webster said: “Scotland’s men have a chance to make history at Euro 2024 and, of course, we’re ridiculously optimistic about our chances to do so.
“While some of our reporters and contributors will be off to Europe cheering the team along, many of us will be here in Scotland, cheering the squad along from a distance.
“So we’re really excited to be able to offer up this prize so that a lucky National reader can have a blast at home when Scotland inevitably see off Germany on matchday one.”
Terms and conditions: Closing date for entries is Friday 7th June, 2024. Editor’s decision is final. No cash alternative. Over 18s only. Usual competition terms and conditions apply, visit www.newsquest.co.uk/prize-competition-rules and www.newsquest.co.uk/terms-conditions for more information. Winners must agree to competition coverage in paper and online.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
