KEIR Starmer was slammed after it was revealed he had flown to Scotland to deliver a speech about Labour's eco policies.
The Labour leader is in Glasgow on Friday morning for a stump speech on one of the party’s flagship policies, Great British Energy.
But the Daily Express reports he flew there by private jet, despite Labour having previously criticised Rishi Sunak for using planes to get around the country.

A Labour spokesperson was unable to deny the charge and told the paper: “To engage with as many UK voters as possible with our offer of change, the campaign demands efficient travel.”
SNP MP Tommy Sheppard blasted Starmer for the flight, saying: “I mean, seriously? And he lectures us on clean energy? [The SNP] are fighting for a just transition to renewables - the difference is, we will fund it to protect jobs.”
Chris McEleny, Alba’s general secretary and a candidate in Inverclyde, added: “Hypocritical Labour have yet again been caught out telling people to do one thing whilst they do another.
“Keir Starmer’s plan for the North Sea would decimate the north east of Scotland and crash Scotland’s economy.
“Labour expect Scots to give up our natural resources so they can fly about the country in private jets.
“That is as absurd as the fact that energy rich Scotland has its people living in fuel poverty.”
The revelation came less than 24 hours after a Labour Party tweet mocked Sunak for using a helicopter on the campaign trail.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
