TUESDAY may be a slightly quieter day with only two matches scheduled but there will be millions of watchful eyes on a certain Cristiano Ronaldo as he kicks off his campaign with Portugal.

Although the 39-year-old's game may be the evening showcase match, Turkey vs Georgia kicks off earlier at 5pm and is due to be just as entertaining.

Group F is all to play for amongst the four teams as both Turkey and Georgia will fancy their chances of qualifying for the knockout stages.

Turkey will be looking for a repeat of 2008 when they made it to the semifinal of the competition as Georgia fans will be hoping their talisman Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will be firing on all cylinders.

Iona Fyfe will be cheering for Turkey as she has drawn them for the sweepstakes.

Fyfe’s chosen charity is Refuweegee, a community-led charity that welcomes people who have been forced to flee their homes to Scotland and makes sure they feel at home.

Gavin Newlands will be facing Fyfe as he drew Georgia and has selected Renfrewshire Toy Bank as his charity.

The charity helps to provide toys for children from families who need them the most.

It may be Ronaldo’s last international tournament, although the same was said about the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, as the superstar is set to take centre stage with Portugal against Czechia.

Tadhg Hickey has drawn Portugal and will be hoping the team can repeat their heroics of 2016 when they won the competition.

Hickey has chosen The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees who provide emergency relief aid in times of armed conflict.

Alex Salmond will be backing Czechia as his randomly selected team.

His chosen charity is the Erskine Veterans charity who provide support to veterans across Scotland, through care homes and Veterans Villages.
