THE Royal Highland Show is back, seeing thousands from across Scotland come together to celebrate the very best of food, farming and rural life.

Featuring a number of prestigious awards and family-friendly events, the Highland Show is once again being hosted at Ingliston near Edinburgh.

When is the Royal Highland Show 2024 taking place?

The Royal Highland Show in Scotland will be taking place between Thursday, June 20 and Sunday, June 23.

Are there still tickets available for the Royal Highland Show this week?

Tickets are still bookable for some of the Royal Highland Show dates with these being available for purchase on the RHS website.

However, it should be noted that the Saturday date has been sold out, meaning those interested in attending should act fast to secure tickets for the other days.

How to get to the Royal Highland Show by bus

The Royal Highland Show will be easy to get to via bus with Lothian Buses running services directly from the city to the event. These will be the 97 and 98 buses.

What will the weather be like at the 2024 Royal Highland Show?

Here is the weather forecast for the 2024 Royal Highland Show between Thursday and Sunday:

Thursday:

The weather is to be overcast on Thursday with spells of sun appearing sporadically throughout the day (though much of this will be after 3pm).

There is a low chance of rain and temperatures are to be warm, peaking at around 18C from 3pm to 6pm

Friday:

Friday will be a cloudy day but will similarly have only a 10% chance of rain and have temperatures of around 18C.

Saturday:

There will be some spells of sun throughout the day on Saturday with temperatures holding strong at between 16C and 18C.

Sunday:

A similar pattern has been predicted for Sunday with sporadic sun, dry conditions and modestly warm temperatures (peaking at around 19C) likely.
