A MAN has been charged in connection with an alleged serious assault which saw a man airlifted to hospital.

Emergency services were called to the Park Road area of Girvan around 5.45pm on Wednesday evening following reports of a serious assault.

A 34-year-old man was taken by air ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court on Friday, July 12, 2024.
