MULTIPLE police cars descended on a Glasgow street following an 'incident'.

An image shared with the Glasgow Times shows cops and ambulances on Ardgay Street near Dodside Street in the city's Sandyhills on Saturday afternoon.

Another image shared on the community group no1seems2care also shows an area of the street taped off by officers.

Meanwhile, locals on social media spoke of seeing police in the area and an area being 'all taped up'.

The force confirmed they had been called to an alleged disturbance at around 1pm.

Two men, aged 32 and 34, were taken to hospital to be treated for injuries.

Both were later arrested and charged in connection with the alleged disturbance and are due to appear in court on Monday.

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection with an alleged bail offence.

She is due to appear in court on Monday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 1pm on Saturday, July 20, to a report of a disturbance in the Ardgay Street area of Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended and two men, one aged 32 and one aged 34, were taken to hospital for treatment.

“Both men have been arrested and charged in connection and are due to appear at Glasgow Sherrif Court on Monday, July 22, 2024.

“A 25-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection with a bail offence and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, July 22, 2024.”
