THE Good Food Guide has announced its annual 100 best local restaurants across the UK with a number of Scottish names making the list.

This year, the team behind the guide says it received an “astonishing” number of nominations from diners across the country, all keen to champion their favourite places to eat.

Around 60,000 votes were cast in a bid to celebrate independent restaurants all across the UK.
