POLICE have discovered the body of a woman during their search for a missing person from North Ayrshire.
Although formal identification is yet to take place, the family of 50-year-old Nicola Pirrie has been made aware.
She was found near Slate Mill Gardens in Irvine at around 9.15 on Monday after being reported missing on Friday after she disappeared on Saturday, July 13.

Police Scotland had previously issued public appeals to help find the 50-year-old, who had last been seen Broomlands area of Irvine.
Police have said there are “no apparent suspicious circumstances” and that a report would be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
