A TODDLER has been airlifted to hospital after a fall at a tourist spot in the Highlands.

Emergency services were called to Ballindalloch Castle, in Banffshire, on Thursday after a report of a fall by a young French tourist.

The boy was airlifted by Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) and was accompanied by his mother.

He was taken to a hospital in Inverness where he received treatment for a leg injury.

A spokesperson for SCAA said: “SCAA was quickly on scene when the toddler son of French tourists was injured in a fall at Ballindalloch.

“Our helicopter airlifted the youngster, accompanied by his mum, to hospital in Inverness for treatment to a leg injury.”
