A SCOTTISH seaweed crisp company is set to have its products stocked in more than 200 stores across five major supermarkets.

The Wick-based company Shore (The Scottish Seaweed Co.) will be available in Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Co-op stores across Scotland, and in Go Outdoors stores across the UK.

Founded in 2020, Shore has sold more than two million bags of crisps to date.

The brand has now secured a six-figure deal with Tesco, where the Sweet Siracha and Lightly Salted flavours will appear on shelves in 48 Scottish stores, following a limited-time promotional fixture in the supermarket giant earlier this year.

The company has also secured a long-term deal with Morrisons, with products now available in 46 stores across Scotland.

It comes after Shore secured a three-month promotional deal with Asda for the summer period, reaching 63 Asda superstores across the country.

The crisp brand will also be available in 60 Go Outdoors stores across the UK and is already stocked in Sainsbury’s and Scottish Co-op stores year-round.

Keith Paterson, founder of Shore, said: “With these new listings, the Shore brand will now be available to a whole new audience. This is a key step in delivering our mission to make local seaweed a sustainable and heathy food of the future.

“This collection of long-term deals is worth well over six figures and will help us continue our fast-paced growth trajectory. Shore chips offer a healthier alternative snack with award-winning taste, a combination that has been central to the brand’s success so far.

“Shoppers are increasingly looking for new exciting flavours and our chips really stand out compared to anything on UK shelves just now. It’s an exciting time at Shore and we look forward to seeing more people enjoying our products.”
