A MAN has been arrested after a woman was stabbed in Stirling.

The attack happened on Saturday at around 8.20pm.

The woman, aged 21, suffered a “non-life threatening” stab injury and was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment.

Police arrested a 29-year-old man, who was described as white and local to the area. He remains in custody.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “This is being treated as an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
