EMERGENCY services have been called to a house fire in Aberdeen as a road has been closed.

The blaze at a property on Westburn Drive was first reported to the emergency services at around 11:40 this morning, Saturday 10.

At the height of the fire, it was reported that around seven appliances and a height appliance were at the scene to tackle the blaze.

Emergency services have remained at the scene.

It is unknown if anyone was harmed in the fire.

Westburn Drive has remained closed between Ashgrove Road and the Six Roads Roundabout as drivers have been encouraged to find an alternative route.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Westburn Drive in Aberdeen is closed between Ashgrove Road and the Six Roads Roundabout due to a building fire.

“We were called around 11.40am and emergency services remain at the scene.

“Drivers are urged to use an alternative route.”
