A 16-YEAR-OLD boy is in a critical condition after a crash between an off-road motorbike and a car in Dundee.

Shortly after 7.35pm on Saturday the motorbike, being ridden by the teen, collided with a grey Fiat 500 in Fintry Drive.

The boy was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Ninewells Hospital where he is now fighting for his life.

The 66-year-old woman, who was driving the Fiat 500, was uninjured.

The road was closed for around five hours to allow an investigation to be undertaken.

Constable Christopher Williams is appealing for anyone with information.

He said: “Our inquiries are ongoing, and at this time we believe three off-road electric motorbikes had been seen in the area at the time shortly before the incident.

“Anyone who was in the Fintry Drive area around the time of the incident, particularly anyone with dashcam or mobile phone footage, should contact Police Scotland on 101."
