AN airline is launching flights from Glasgow Airport to a brand-new destination later this year.
Aer Lingus Regional, exclusively operated by Emerald Airlines, will officially take off at Glasgow on a new service to Cork from October 27.
This new connection with over 30,000 seats on offer gives passengers more choice for travel, whether it's for business or leisure.
Fares start from £39.99 and tickets are on sale now.
Passengers visiting Cork can immerse themselves in the city's blend of historic charm, lively arts scene, and diverse culinary offerings.
Beyond the city, Cork serves as a gateway to the picturesque countryside and stunning coastal landscapes of southern Ireland.
Flights will run on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday departing Glasgow at 08:25 and arriving in Cork at 10:05.
Flights will leave Cork at 10:35 and arrive in Glasgow at 12:15 on those same days.
The airline currently operates two popular services from Glasgow to Dublin with up to four flights and Glasgow to Belfast with up to two flights daily.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
Callum Baird, Editor of The National
