A LATE 18th-century pub at a stunning beauty spot in Argyll and Bute which featured in a Channel 5 show has hit the market.

The Horseshoe Inn in the village of Kilmichael Glassary, which is a short distance from Lochgilphead, has four bedrooms for let, a restaurant and a bar.

One of the biggest draws of the location is the stunning scenery which surrounds the village as it sits in the historic Kilmartin Glen.

The area is renowned for various bronze and iron age sites located throughout the region.

The traditional-style inn is around one and a half miles from the Iron Age hill fort of Dunadd, around four miles from Temple Wood Stone Circles, and less than five miles from the Nationally Significant Kilmartin Museum.

Guests of the inn can see a wide range of wildlife around the area including beavers, red squirrels, ravens, pine martens, beavers, ospreys, and otters.

The Horseshoe Inn and its current owners were even featured on the Channel 5 show Ben Fogle: Make a new life in the country.

Located in the heart of Argyll and Bute the inn was built in 1798 and has a striking appearance with its painted stone walls and slated roof.

Over the years the building has been extended at the rear and now has a modern-style patio with outdoor seating which is overlooked by the town's scenery.

It is also a short drive away from other popular tourist towns like Oban and Tarbert.

The sale of the inn also includes a holiday home called The Stables which comes with its own private garden and patio area too.

ASG Commercial is entrusted with the sale of the Horseshoe Inn and is asking for £415,000 for the sale of the property.
