AN Oscar-winning director has shared an update after announcing he was staying in “the most haunted room” of his hotel in Scotland.

Hollywood horror director Guillermo del Toro is currently in north-east Scotland, where he is believed to be shooting a new Frankenstein movie.

We previously told how del Toro revealed he has “high hopes” of experiencing something supernatural whilst staying in his Aberdeen hotel.

He has since posted an update on social media, writing on Thursday: “Something is in that room with me.”

Seemingly spooked, del Toro said: “I can only say: Nothing has happened yet, but the atmosphere in the room is oppressive and I am not gonna spend much more time there.

“It may be suggestion, but at this point I kept it but am sleeping in another room. I need 6 hours of sleep to have a good shooting day.

“I’m stopping there early and late in the day – but something is in that room with me... If anything happens or nothing does expect one or two more updates.”

On Tuesday, del Toro shared a selfie on Twitter/X of himself wearing sunglasses and a tweed cap, standing against a backdrop of mountains and heather.

He wrote: “Location shooting 'F' in Scotland. Not far from Stonehaven (home of the deep-fried MARS bar).”

The new Frankenstein movie is set to star Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi and Mia Goth.
