A NEW TK Maxx store has opened in Aberdeen, welcoming customers through its doors in the Union Square shopping centre from Thursday morning.

Taking up three retail units and spanning two floors, the new store will offer 22,500 sq ft of shopping space.

The firm moved from another retail space in the shopping centre, with the new store costing over £400,000 to fit out.

All staff at the old store were offered opportunities to transfer to the new site.

A spokesperson for TK Maxx said: “We are thrilled to open a brand-new TK Maxx store in Aberdeen, as we know how much local shoppers love to shop high-brand fashion, accessories, and more, all at great prices.

"We want to give our valued Aberdeen treasure seekers the best shopping experience possible, and we’re confident they will enjoy our new bright and beautiful store.”

The store is one of TK Maxx's two sites in Aberdeen. The other store is a smaller outlet, located at the Kittybrewster Retail Park.
