A major airline has revealed two new destinations on its city break range from Glasgow Airport.
Jet2CityBreaks has announced it has expanded its Discover More collection to Marrakech and Krakow for the first time.
The airline says the expansion comes following "strong demand" from customers looking for more "discovery-based experiences".
As part of the holidays, the travel firm says the Discover More getaways to Marrakech in Morocco include a tour of the historic city, while the trips to Krakow in Poland include an Auschwitz tour.
Jet2 says the packages to Marrakech will provide holidaymakers the chance to experience the city's top spots in one day.
As part of the holiday, customers will be able to see the mesmerising Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs and Koutoubia Mosque gardens, before making their way to the famous Jemaa el-Fna square.
Travellers will then be treated to lunch in a traditional Moroccan restaurant, followed by having free time to explore the city.
Jet2CityBreaks will start operating breaks to Marrakech for both Winter 2024 and 2025 and Summer 2025 from October 4, 2024, from four UK airports -Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester and London Stansted.
Here is the full flying programme:
- Glasgow – two weekly flights operating from November 4, 2024, until April 28, 2025, and from October 3 to November 14, 2025. Marrakech is an exclusive route to Jet2.com and Jet2holidays from Glasgow Airport.
- Birmingham – two weekly flights operating from October 4, 2024, right through to November 14, 2025.
- Manchester – two weekly flights operating from October 4, 2024, right through to November 14, 2025.
- London Stansted – two weekly flights operating from October 4, 2024, right through to November 14, 2025.
Meanwhile, for holidaymakers looking to travel to Krakow on a Discover More trip, Jet2 says the city break will include a tour of Auschwitz, offering an insightful and educational experience.
Trips to the Polish city are available for summer 2024, winter 2024 and 2025, and summer 2025.
The airline operates vacations to the city from eight UK airports including Glasgow, Belfast International, Birmingham, East Midlands, Leeds, Bradford, Liverpool John Lennon, Manchester, and Newcastle International.
Following the reveal of the new trips on the city break range, Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are expanding our Discover More collection in response to demand from customers, and we know that these new packages to the city break destinations of Marrakech and Krakow will be very popular.
