THREE people are in hospital following a two-vehicle collision in Dumfries and Galloway.

The A75 at Newton Stewart has now reopened in both directions following the collision, having initially been forced to close.

In a post at 4.08pm, Traffic Scotland confirmed the road had fully reopened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.20pm on Saturday August 24, 2024, officers were called to a two-vehicle collision on the A75, Newton Stewart.

"Emergency services are in attendance.”
