ABERDEEN residents have spotted a yacht owned by a billionaire Premier League football club owner as it arrived in the city.

The Press and Journal reports that Elysian, a 66-metre-long-yacht owned by Liverpool FC’s majority shareholder, John W Henry, docked in Aberdeen Harbour around 2.30pm on Saturday.

It is currently berthed in Aberdeen Harbour although it is not known how long it will remain in the city.

The yacht, previously named Ester III, was previously owned by Russian entrepreneur Georgy Bedzhamov, the Press and Journal reports.

However, the Liverpool FC owner (above, centre) acquired it in 2016 after Bedzhamov became wanted on fraud charges in Russia.

It is 66 metres long and 12 metres wide and Boat International ranks it among the top 5% of the world’s largest yachts.
