SCOTTISH actor Alan Cumming has picked up a Creative Arts Emmy Award for his work on the US edition of The Traitors.

He had been nominated in the same category as RuPaul Charles – the host of RuPaul’s Drag Race – as well as the hosts of the shows of Shark Tank, Top Chef and Survivor.

Cumming’s win brought to an end an incredible run for Charles, who had picked up the award for the last eight years.

In the reality show, a group of contestants arrive at a Scottish castle who work to eliminate other contestants in a bid to win a big prize.

The UK version of the series is hosted by Claudia Winkleman (above) with the first season airing back in 2022 and a second coming at the beginning of 2024.

The US Traitors is however also available to view on BBC iPlayer.
