On Wednesday afternoon at around 12.25pm, officers were alerted to the discovery of a man’s body in a wooded area in the Mayfield area of Dalkeith.

Police said that although formal identification has still to take place, they “believe it to be 67-year-old Robert Blair who was missing from Dalkeith”.
