A TWO Doors Down star visited Janey Godley as she receives end-of-life care in a hospice.

Elaine C Smith, who plays Christine in the BBC comedy series, looked in on the Glasgow comic and presented her with flowers and a candle.

The 63-year-old said the gesture was 'lovely' and referred to Elaine as the 'queen of my comedy heart' in a social media post.

It comes after Godley revealed that she was living in a hospice and receiving palliative care after her ovarian cancer spread.

She thanked the NHS and those who have cared for her as well as her family, friends and fans for their support.

Speaking in a video shared on social media in September, she wrote: “So I’m now in palliative care and I’m at end-of-life care now in the hospital.

“The chemo ran out of options and I just couldn’t take any more of it and the cancer has spread.

“So it looks like this will be getting to near the end of it and it’s really difficult to speak about this and say to people.”

Godley first revealed she had ovarian cancer in November 2021, but in 2022 she had been given the all-clear by doctors.

However, she later announced that another scan had shown signs of the disease in her abdomen but added that she would continue with her stand-up comedy tour.

She then cancelled her autumn tour due to her stage four ovarian cancer, which had been kept at bay through NHS treatment over the last few years and had returned with a few added complications.
