  • ALEX Salmond has been repatriated to Scotland, six days after his shock death following a heart attack in North Macedonia.
  • The former first minister was draped in a Saltire and given a guard of honour as his coffin boarded a plane in the city of Ohrid.
  • Salmond's coffin landed in Aberdeen just before 2pm on Friday, and was met by a piper playing Freedom Come All Ye, as well as family and friends.
  • After being transferred to a hearse, Salmond was joined by Yes bikers, and many cars waving Saltires, as he made his final journey home.
