POLICE Scotland have said there are “no suspicious circumstances” behind the body of a woman found on an Aberdeen beach.

Police confirmed the body was discovered on Donmouth Beach, Aberdeen at around 6.40am on Saturday, October 19.

Officers locked down the beach for several hours before reopening it yesterday afternoon.

The incident is being treated as unexplained but further enquiries are pending. The body has not been officially identified.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 6.40am on Saturday 19 October, 2024, officers were made aware that the body of a woman was found on the beach in the Donmouth Road area of Aberdeen.

“The death is being treated as unexplained, however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. Enquiries are ongoing.”
