A HOLIDAY site in Dumfries and Galloway which is next to a picturesque beach has been crowned the best caravan park in the UK.
GO Outdoors has compiled findings from 105 of the UK's leading caravan parks to reveal the top 10 this Autumn for the perfect staycation.
The outdoor specialists looked at factors including average pricing, visitor ratings, the quality of amenities, and proximity to the beach.
Beating more than 100 other destinations, the Auchenlarie Holiday Park in Dumfries and Galloway has been crowned the best in the UK, according to GO Outdoors.

Nestled along the stunning Scottish coastline the caravan park received an overall rating of 9.98 out of 10 from the study.
The award-winning site features a variety of lodges, as well as space for caravans and camping, and hosts a range of amenities including a restaurant, three bars, a shop, a games room, a swimming pool, a sauna, and an arcade.
The holiday park is also less than a five-minute walk to Auchenlarie Beach – which is a secluded area that overlooks Wigtown Bay.
According to the experts, the site has an average user review rating of 4.57 stars out of five and is the only Scottish site to make the top 10.
Auchenlarie Holiday Park has an average rating of 4.4 out of five on Google which is based on 1399 reviews.
