A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with the rape of a 16-year-old girl in a car park.
The attack was reported to have happened between 1am and 1.30am on Sunday November 10 in the Cowgate area of Dundee.
The teenager was approached by a man in the Cowgate area of the city between 1am and 1.30am, before being subjected to what police have described as a “serious sexual assault”.
A 31-year-old man is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Monday.
Detective sergeant Shaunni Morris said: “We would like to extend our thanks to the public for their assistance with this inquiry.
“Officers will remain in the area while inquiries continue.”
