ONE person was taken to hospital following a five-vehicle crash in the Borders on the weekend, according to police.

The incident on the A68 happened shortly before 9am on Saturday (November 23).

Police Scotland advised motorists following the collision that weather conditions were “challenging” as Storm Bert battered the Borders.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to a report of a five-vehicle crash on the A68 between St Boswells and Ancrum around 8.55am on Saturday, November 23, 2024.

“Emergency services attended, and one person was taken to hospital.

“The road was closed and reopened around 11.05am.”
