Film fanatics looking to get into the festive spirit can catch some of their Christmas favourites at various venues across the city. 

We have drawn up the ultimate list of where to watch everything from Home Alone to Elf.

Saint Luke's

The National:

Music and arts venue Saint Luke's will be bringing Jim Carrey and Macaulay Culkin to Glasgow's East End by showing two festive classics on Saturday, December 23. 

First up will be the Grinch Who Stole Christmas which will be shown at 11am and will be followed by the showing of Home Alone 1 and 2 at 3:30pm.

Tickets to the films are priced at £10 for adults and free for children.

The Grosvenor Theatre

The Grosvenor Theatre in Glasgow's West End will also be bringing a host of Christmas classics back with nine different festive options. 

Ranging from the heart-melting romance in Love Actually to the drama set out in Die Hard there will be an option for everyone with the viewing running up until Christmas Eve.

Tickets for the Christmas specials are priced at £5.

Big Feed

The National:

For people who may be looking for a different venue to try, the Big Feed will be hosting free entry to Christmas movies every Monday and Tuesday up until December 19 at the Golf It! venue on Cumbernauld Road.

Two movies a day will be shown with the first one kicking off at 6pm and the second one starting at 8pm with two big screens available to watch the film, along with screens in the driving range bays too. 

The film seats are based on a first come first served basis with Christmas cocktails, food and drinks available. Parking is free.

 Elf, The Grinch, The Holiday and Love Actually will be shown. 

The Showcase

The National:

And, if you are just outside of Glasgow don't feel left out as the Showcase Cinema have already showed Christmas films such as The Nightmare Before Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street and Santa Claus: The Movie along with others. 

The next film to hit cinema will be Home Alone 1 which is set to be shown on Friday, December 15. 

The National:

Cineworld

And finally, another Cinema in Glasgow city centre that will be showing films that capture the Christmas scene is Cineworld with tickets to all festive flicks priced at £5.

Starting on Friday, December 15, Bad Santa will be shown followed by Home Alone 1 and 2 to be shown on Sunday, 17 and Friday 22 December.

Die Hard will also be shown just days before Christmas on December 23 before the festive viewing is wrapped up by It's a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve.
