Beloved Good Morning Britain presenters Kate Garraway and Susanna Reid have clashed over their takes on the brand-new John Lewis Christmas advert.
The 2023 campaign features a Venus fly trap called Snapper who eventually becomes an unconventional Christmas tree in a heartwarming story.
When a boy called Alfie purchases a seed to grow the "perfect Christmas tree", he and his family are left with Snapper.
When the plant grows too big, he is dragged out of the house into the bitter cold before Alfie and the family embrace him as an unusual festive tree.

However, during the ITV morning programme, Kate Garraway and Sussana Reid interpreted the story very differently.
After showing the clip on Good Morning Britain, Kate said: "I think they say that the message is, you know..."
But before she could finish, Susanna interjected with: "If you get something you don't want for Christmas, don't worry, mum and dad will get you something else."
A laughing Kate disagreed with this assessment, adding: "No, no, no! That's definitely not the message.
"No, I think the message is: 'You make Christmas as you want it, it doesn't have to be traditional."
When the advert came out, the Customer Director for John Lewis, Charlotte Lock, said: "We are a nation that loves the traditions of Christmas - from classic traditions like pantos and putting up the tree to evolving ones like crafting our own presents and Zoom get-togethers.
"Many of us have our own unique festive traditions and that makes them even more special.
"The film celebrates themes of family and evolving traditions and shows that a 'perfect' Christmas is finding joy together with loved ones, whatever your traditions."
The new advert was created by Saatchi and Saatchi and features the vocals of world-renowned opera singer Andrea Bocelli.
