Beloved Coronation Street icon Helen Worth could take part in the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
This comes after the star announced that she would be leaving the ITV show after 50 years on our screens.
The actress, who will exit the show after a “major storyline for the Platt family", told fans that she had been "blessed to have been given the most incredible scripts."

The Coronation Street legend said: “This year felt like the perfect time to leave the show after celebrating 50 years in the most wonderful job on the most wonderful street in the world.
“I made the decision at the start of the year and spoke to the producers who were very kind and understanding.

Coronation Street star Helen Worth could take part in Strictly Come Dancing after big money offer
Helen Worth could now take part in the newest series of Strictly Come Dancing as BBC producers reportedly consider her.
An insider told The Sun: “This really would be a disaster for the show because they want the focus to be on Gail’s big exit, the details of which are being kept under wraps.
“But it raises the prospect of her potentially featuring in a storyline where she is seen dying of a terminal illness during the week, then popping up on a Saturday night, potentially dancing as a zombie on Strictly’s Halloween special. Not a good look.”
She would not be the first Corrie star to take part in the programme with her on-screen daughter Tina O'Brien (Sarah Platt) and last year’s winner, Ellie Leach (Faye Windass) both taking to the ballroom floor.
A spokesman for Strictly said: “We do not comment on speculation.”
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
