According to weather tracker WX Charts, up to 2cm of snow is to fall over parts of the Scottish Highlands, including regions like Ross and Cromarty.
This is set to take place on Saturday, October 12 between the hours of 12pm and 6pm with most of this falling at around 3pm.
However, no reports of snowfall have been made by the UK's top meteorological organisation as of yet.
The Met Office has said that "sunny spells" and some showers will occur in the south of England.
It added that "outbreaks of rain" will take place across Scotland and Northern Ireland before sinking south into England.
It said that Saturday would remain "rather cold," continuing the chilly conditions we have seen over the last few days.
On X, formerly Twitter, the Met Office added that "night frosts" could land in some places with more mild conditions returning on Monday.
BBC Weather has made a similar prediction for the Highlands with wet weather and cooler conditions being present throughout the day.
The weather service states that there will be as much as an 80% chance of rain with temperatures dropping to lows of 0C.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
