TWO Scottish pubs with "terrific food" and "relaxed" atmospheres have been named among the cosiest in the whole of the UK.
The Good Food Guide said that as autumn draws in, it wants to highlight some of the top cosy pubs across the country.
The popular guide noted that these spots "don't just stoke the open fires and keep the logs well stacked, but serve up relaxed, warm vibes, good local beers and even better cooking."

The Kinneuchar Inn and Dumfries and Galloway's The Clachan Inn were the two Scottish pubs named among the cosiest in the UK by The Good Food Guide.
At the Kinneuchar Inn the menu changes daily, depending on the produce available to the kitchen that evening, meaning the diversity of dishes on offer here is substantial.
In terms of desserts, the pub does not disappoint with its homemade ice cream and shortbread being "hard to beat".
The Michelin star spot is beloved by patrons on Tripadvisor with it receiving a 4/5 out of 116 reviews. One visitor said coming here was a "fabulous experience" and that the "food was excellent".

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
