Will there be support for people who run into difficulty paying their utility bills and council tax?
WELCOME as Boris Johnson’s latest pronouncements are, by constantly repeating “whatever it takes” I am wondering whether or not that will include support for some people who will inevitably run into difficulty paying their utility bills and council tax.
I noticed, for example, that people with mortgages are to get a payment “holiday” if needed. I can’t say that I heard anything that gives succour to anyone else, ie those who live in the rental sector.

Maybe Johnson forgot, that, or it is the case that from his position of privilege, trifling things like utility bills and council tax are outside of his compass.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
