DOMINIC Raab, when asked on the Andrew Marr Show about the “events” in Downing Street last December, stated that “the police don’t normally look back and investigate things that have taken place a year ago.”
He is talking complete mince. Remember this is the Justice Secretary for the Westminster government and Deputy Prime Minister and a supposed Lawyer – can someone tell him two people have been arrested in Scotland in connection with the murder of a young girl 25 years ago? Can someone also tell him that murderers, rapists, terrorists and other criminals do not give notice of their crimes – they are investigated AFTER the event, sometimes even many years after.

It is not just Boris who is taking us for fools and idiots – his characteristics are spreading faster than any Covid variant.

PERHAPS it’s time we cut Boris some slack regarding the 2020 Downing Street Christmas party. He obviously confused “lock-in” with “lock-down” – a minor mistake but it’s causing him a major problem. A problem which undoubtedly is a wonderful Christmas gift for the Yes campaign. Thank you again Boris, you remain our best recruiting sergeant.

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
