THE passage of the so-called Rwanda “safety” bill by the rancid corrupt Tory brigands is a watershed and an abomination. It will stand out as an ignominious event of degradation and political filth, and will live in infamy. It represents a rejection of morality, truth, and the rule of law.
It is being done purely for the electoral expediency of the weak and despised Tories. They have nothing left so they are deliberately playing the race card in order to harvest votes from backwards, credulous elderly racists who crave empire nostalgia and the “royal” family.
Whilst comparisons to Nazism are usually hyperbolic and inappropriate, in this case they are apt. Hitler devised a plan to send European Jews to Madagascar. The Tories have copied this and are now implementing it.

Since 2010 the Tories have overseen a dismantling of the social safety net. This had seen living standards eviscerated and the Tory donor class get richer than ever. Scapegoating refugees was one part. Another was a shocking and cruel campaign of terror over the lives of the sick and disabled.
The abhorrent Sunak is now escalating that war. He has decided that a GP will no longer be able to say that patients are too sick to work. Instead that will be subcontracted out to “health professionals” who will never have actually met the person they are assessing.
This is yet again the failed malignant Tories trying to blame others for the serial failures of their discredited neoliberal ideology.
The propaganda that the Tories and their tribal propagandists like to spew is that there is no money. Yet remarkably Sunak has managed to find £3 billion for war in Ukraine.

Russia cannot be defeated militarily. That money will go into the Swiss bank accounts of corrupt Ukrainian government officials for when they decide to flee. Just as happened in Afghanistan. All while Ukrainian civilians are being kidnapped and forced to fight in an unwinnable war. The UK Government knows this yet continues to send UK taxpayers’ money regardless.
The UK Government is run by utterly stupid people of no known achievement. The same applies in Scotland. The so-called independence movement is no such thing. There is no credible plan for establishing Scottish independence nor is there the inclination by the SNP to enact one. They simply regard independence as a con trick to get votes.

THE US Congress has finally passed the $61 billion Ukraine aid bill, but the money won’t help Ukraine.
$40bn flows to the military industrial complex (MIC) to replenish stocks and pay for weapons yet to be produced. The money’s a respite but more will be needed. JFK, in response to a Pentagon request for more troops in Vietnam, said: “It’s like taking a drink. The effect wears off and you have to take another.”

70% of the American people don’t want more money going to fund the Ukraine war. But these politicians want to be re-elected – they need MIC money.
Second, the Ukrainian regime is notoriously corrupt. 38-42% of Ukrainian households paid bribes for basic public services.
Third, Ukraine is being destroyed. 600,000 are dead, 1-2 million are wounded, and millions more have fled. This money will prolong the agony. Tens of thousands more young Ukrainians will be sent to their deaths.
The $61bn is for preventing Ukraine’s collapse before the November presidential election. The US security state prefers Biden to Trump because he’s easier to control. There’s been no discussion of alternatives to war because the US doesn’t do diplomacy anymore.
Similarly, the US is sending weapons and money to Israel to annihilate the Palestinians and create a Greater Israel “from the river to the sea”. Like the MIC, the Israel lobby has the US by the throat and won’t let go.
The US is isolated and on the wrong side of history, but is supported by its UK poodle and the EU. Meanwhile, the rest of the world looks on in horror as the global hegemon plays with fire.

SUNAK is going to have to get the private sector interested in provisioning for sick, disabled, old people and the infirm as potential employees. I think in this situation, the old-fashioned approach might be relevant.
Why don’t the Tories look at having the likes of Serco build workhouses and poorhouses?

You could streamline the entire benefits system. Can’t work due to failing health or struggling with a disability? Six months in a state-approved workhouse will either kill you or cure you! I’m thinking that the Tories would have a preference.
Not only that, but large sums of taxpayers’ money could be legally handed to all the Tory chums and donors!

Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
